Beyond medical services or infrastructure, one of the elements that best defines the quality of a care home is the lived experiences of the people who reside and work there, as well as the social connections that are built. In this sense, testimonials become one of the most valuable tools for showcasing the true reality of the centre and the experiences that take place within it.
Listening to the opinions of both residents and their families allows us to understand firsthand the work that is carried out. Words of gratitude and recognition help to highlight the daily work—often invisible—that professional teams perform day after day.
Below, we share some of the notes of appreciation we have received over time and which we hold in very special regard:
- “Dear all, I would like to express my gratitude for the care my mother received during her stay at the centre from the entire team of professionals (medical staff, sociocultural staff, reception, kitchen, cleaning, as well as the management team).”
- “Despite the sadness of her passing, I feel at peace knowing she was well cared for and loved until her last day, both by the family and by all of you. On a personal level, I also felt very accompanied and supported at all times. I wish you strength to continue your work every day with such dedication and professionalism. Congratulations on the excellent work you do in caring for the elderly. In these difficult moments, I send you a warm and heartfelt embrace.”
- “First of all, thank you very much. Although it was a short stay, we felt very welcomed. We are sad that grandma couldn’t enjoy her time there for longer, but she arrived more deteriorated than we expected… Please pass on our thanks to the team, the psychologist, the nursing staff, Judit… Everyone showed great professionalism to make her admission as easy as possible. Thank you for everything!”
“Good morning, with this note we would like to express our gratitude to the entire staff of the centre, including the cleaning team, for treating our dear mother with such affection and dedication. It was very touching to see so many of you visit her during the last days of her life, showing how much you loved her—some with tears, others sharing funny anecdotes about her.
We are also grateful that the staff who helped her go to bed at night read her the text we prepared with different Bible verses. In doing so, you helped her keep alive the memory of a part of her life she deeply valued: her beliefs and spiritual values.
We know that some of you are also going through difficult times, and yet you give your all to care for others with warmth and dedication. Over these months, we have seen how the beautiful words of Jesus, known as the Golden Rule, were truly lived out by the staff at Torreblanca: ‘Do to others what you would have them do to you’ (Matthew 7:12).Please pass on our sincere gratitude and affection to the entire staff of the centre.”
These testimonials are just a few of the many messages families have shared, recognising the effort, commitment, and care that take place in the centre. For us, they are a source of motivation and a reminder of the human value that defines our work. We work with people, and it is essential to place their wellbeing, dignity, and connection with their families at the heart of everything we do.
Our goal is to create a true home for our residents—an environment where families also feel welcomed, supported, and reassured.
